Product description: Bardahl Speedy Gasket/gasket maker gray is a 1-component, fast-acting gasket of very high quality, designed to replace all kinds of gaskets and to work with various surfaces such as rubber, metal, wood, glass, ceramics and many types of plastic.
Applications: Widely applicable in passenger cars, trucks, caravans, boats, and electronics for sealing gearboxes, water pumps, valve covers, steering racks, crankcases and protection against moisture for switches, sockets, and more.
Temperature resistance: Excellent resistance to high temperatures, ranging from -50°C to 260°C, and offers resistance to extreme weather influences, brake fluids, mineral oils and greases.
Instructions for use: Clean the surface and remove grease with Bardahl Bodysol, apply, join parts together, and final assembly after 30-40 minutes. Do not use on cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds. Avoid constant contact with gasoline.
Curing and Drying Time: Curing from the outside in, influenced by heat and moisture. At 22°C and 60% relative humidity, a non-adhesive layer forms after 20 minutes. Complete curing after 24 to 72 hours depending on the layer thickness.
Specific Applications: Used in the automotive industry for valve covers, crankcase covers, water pumps, and more. Suitable for seals in motorcycles, marine, electrical installations, and various other applications where a strong, durable seal is required.
Analysis data: Density at 23°C: 1.24 g/cm³, Skin formation time at 23°C and 50% r.h.: 10-20 min, Hardness Shore A: 36, Temperature resistance: -50 / +260°C, Tensile strength: 3.0 N/mm², Dielectric strength: 21 kV/mm, Color: gray.
Additional Information: Do not use for cylinder head and exhaust manifold gaskets. Avoid prolonged contact with petrol. Store in a cool place (below 20°C) with a storage period of 1 year. Simplifies the installation of water hoses and can serve as an insulation seal.
